about jones family acres

We are Jerrad and Sara, owners and operators of Jones Family Acres. We also have three wonderful children: Mackenzi, Temperance, and Xander. We both were born and raised in southeastern Wisconsin, but talked for years about moving down south to chase the warmer weather.

After looking for land throughout the south, we finally settled on moving to Salisbury, North Carolina in April of 2021 and have loved every minute of it. We all enjoyed raising pork and poultry on our small parcel of land in Wisconsin, but moving to North Carolina allowed us access to more land to bring Jones Family Acres to fruition.

As the name suggests, we are a family-oriented and operated farm – all of us pitch in around here! Temperance does most of the daily chores with help from her brother Xander. They both also raise show pigs and work and care for them daily. Both Sara and I work on larger projects in the evenings or weekends after getting home from our full-time jobs.

We raise grass-fed Registered Highland and Hereford Cattle, pastured Berkshire and Heritage Hogs, and pastured poultry on our farm. Sustainable and humane practices are implemented on our farm, so you can rest assured that the products you get from us not only taste good but are also good for you! We treasure all the family time we get working on the farm together to raise quality animals that enjoy a quality life while they are with us. Welcome to Jones Family Acres!
